Now I really need to see you too. I can’t stop thinking about it.

  1. Oh, snap!
This is cool... it kinda sucks that the tension has gone out of the relationship though. There's still the pressure of their respective partners, true, but those moments of 'almost there' have gone.

Ah well, it's what we've been waiting for, right?

  2. oh man.. im laughing.. and it's funny, and it's sexy. But also.. it's a little bit dirty.. I'm not sure how i mean that but. i dunno haha this is like Stacey's previous emails about "fucking Marcus's brains out" - i think that's what is making me feel a little dirty about it.

... (i'm a little confused about how i should feel here)

  3. I've been following these emails since this past summer and I've been rooting for Dom and Stacey all the way through (it's also my first time commenting and I am without account), but I, like Hiranga, am left entirely uncertain about my reaction to these. To be honest, I feel a little put off with today's exchange... it just seems that their hotel 'tryst' cheapens their relationship, and I'm left wondering if perhaps Stacey is getting caught up in portraying her spontaneity and pseudo-nihilism instead of recognizing the connection and legitimate feelings they share for one another?

  4. I'm a little with anonymous on this. I sense a heartbreaking moment for Dom where he considers ditching Elsa for Stacey who then makes it clear that actually, she's living in the moment and isn't interested in a relationship-proper.

So despite the initial relief at them having got together, I am anticipating further twists in the tale. Will it be happy ever after or is this a train wreck waiting to happen?! Keep reading!!!

  5. I actually found it a bit boring... this wnole time ive been reading the back and forth between them, the fights etc and now that they are doing this its kind of..... a let down?

  6. I like these. I like that they can be read with salacious urgency or as if they're whispering back and forth, basking in the afterglow.

What did we expect, that they would go into specifics? That they would discuss the weather? Lengthy narratives of elevator conversations with the maid?

  7. Eh, disappointing that they're cheating.

  8. this thing has been a roller coaster from day one, what makes any one think there are no more hills to climb and fall from, for that matter what makes us think that even today their relationship isn't a roller coaster? We assume they got together, what if at the end of the computer tale they do, but what if the marriage is horrible and today they are filing for divorce... we never know...

  9. Jack, sounds like you heavy a heart with your comment.

Okay maybe not heavy but a little pudgy maybe.

And I know what you mean and this seems the common theme of this post with commenters.

But rest assured - the tension will return :)

  11. Anon (3:52) what a comment. So glad you joined us. I know what you mean when you say - cheapens it - but I kinda also like it.

And now you've got me thinking about Stacey's nihilsm.

    All too much.

But thanks for commenting as you can see your words have kick started others.

Hope to read your thoughts again soon.

  12. Oh no Jay - what an awful outcome. That would so sad. I hope that doens't happen. I really do.
    (But what drama, hey?)

  13. Anon (9:15) a let down - gosh I hope it doens't keep letting you down. If it helps I think the story is entering the fun stage.

  14. And there is Kimberley - there are my thoughts exactly. I kinda find them a little exciting. I kinda like the salaciious but not descriptive prose.

I guess I can fill in the gaps.

A big thank you for your comment. It made my day.

  16. Chris, I think your end point is hilarious. it made me laugh and laugh. Very funny.

And it's true there are more hills to climb.

  17. Everyone on here is so depressed! What's going on?!

We've been waiting for this for months now, and when it happens you all complain! Jeez, I dunno. I for one am happy, we don't need to know anymore than we are given and there is probably a fair few ups and downs to come. Rmember folks this is real life, not a bleedin TV show!

Once more, cheers Stephen for this excellent and slightly voyeuristic blog.

  18. Has anyone considered the possibility that Stephen may actually be Dom? What a twist that would be!

Anyway, can't wait to see where this is going, especially with the Dom/Elsa situation. I hope he doesn't lose his new-found nerve.

  19. But my point is that had it been someone today that we know is cheating, no matter the reason, we would shun them.
